Welcome to the Honourable Artillery Company

Our London home, comprising Armoury House and the Artillery Garden, is a unique and vibrant place and offers an unparalleled venue for corporate, private and sporting events as well as being a place for our members to meet, eat and relax.

Established by Royal Charter in 1537 for the “better defence of the realm”, we are still active in this role, with a surveillance and target-acquisition British Army regiment that bears our name.We are also known as a charity and members’ organisation.

Many of our 2,500 members are either serving soldiers, or of the HAC Detachment of Special Constabulary (City of London Police). Others, completed their Active Unit service, belong to our Veteran Company. Join us and enjoy our clubs, societies and ceremonial sub-units.
