Light Cavalry HAC

The Military Equitation and Mounted Skill-at-Arms Ceremonial Unit of the Honourable Artillery Company

The Light Cavalry has its own comprehensive web site at www.lchac.org.uk

There you can read about our history, and see details of our forthcoming activities.

Our horses are stabled at Flemish Farm, Windsor. We have a full-sized indoor Riding School where military and civilian equitation is taught to members of the HAC and affiliated units. Military personnel, and those with former military connections, may apply to ride, receive instruction, and exercise the horses in the Great Park.

Members of the Light Cavalry take part in a variety of equestrian competitive activities, either as individuals or as team members. There's a successful Cross-country team, 'The Slashing Sabres', and teams enter for Skill-at-Arms, sword, lance and revolver, tent pegging, eventing and show jumping.

You can find a number of Galleries of photos of these activities together with downloadable copies of our Supporting Riders Newsletter on our web site. And, if you're organising an important event in the City of London, you can find out how to Engage the Light Cavalry to provide a Ceremonial Guard.
