Bisley Mess Club

On completion of the Bisley Hut in 1928, those who had contributed in money or labour towards its construction held a ball to celebrate its opening.  In the following year it was agreed that there should be an annual repetition of the event and so the Bisley Mess Club was formed.  The Club is open to invited members of the Company.  Its membership is made up of those with an affinity for the Hut and all it represents.  The Club held its first annual dinner on 28th June 1929 and dinners have been held in most years since that date.  Surplus funds from the Club are used to purchase items for the Hut.  It recently purchased a new flagpole to commemorate the life of HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
