Location, location, location
When we ask our clients what it was that made them book their event at the HAC, we get a wide range of responses. Our five-acre gardens, the history of the building, the reputation of our caterers... the list is long and varied. But the one thing that never fails to crop up is our location. Armoury House is situated in the City of London, an easy walk from any office in the Square Mile. While this is not unique in itself, its size and type of venue that makes the HAC stand out from our local competitors. We offer the largest outdoor space in the City and one of the largest, permanent indoor areas (the ultra-modern Prince Consort Rooms).
But it’s not just local businesses and companies that appreciate our location. If you and your guests are traveling to us from somewhere else within London or even further afield, we are brilliantly connected to the tube and mainline railway networks, with Moorgate and Old Street stations just a 3-4 minute walk away and Liverpool Street a 10-minute walk. For any keen cyclists, we have a Santander cycle bike site a two-minute walk from the HAC entrance and for visitors needing to drive we have a large NCP carpark opposite us.
From City-based florists and entertainers to our wine merchants and meat suppliers in the Home Counties, we don’t have to cast our net too wide to access some of the industry’s best suppliers. Our solid set of trusted contractors plays a vital role in the success of all events held at the HAC and we believe the less mileage between us and them the better. As well as being better for the planet, it also makes the logistics of deliveries so much easier, minimising the risk of things turning up late. If you’d rather use select your own suppliers, we’re always happy to give you that freedom. But in the in the unlikely event of something going wrong last-minute, we have a fabulous network of local back-up.
Our fabulous position in EC1 is about so much more than just convenience in terms of travel. Whether you’re organising post-event entertainment for your guests or leaving them to their own devices, our planners tell us the myriad of shops, bars and restaurants within a stone’s throw of the HAC is always well-received. We’ve also got great links with some local hoteliers, as we believe an event is so much more than what happens at the venue itself.
