Hiring the cricket pitch at the HAC
These terms and conditions should be read alongside and in conjunction with the HAC's standard terms and conditions.
The hire charge of the cricket pitch in 2018 from 9.30am to dusk is £3750 + VAT. The pitch cannot be used for more than one match in a day except for where a six a side tournament is being played. This is subject the Groundsman’s permission.
The use of up to four changing rooms is included in the hire charge.
Cricket whites must be worn by all players. Protective equipment must be worn suitable to the standard of the game.
Stumps and a scoreboard will be provided by the HAC. All other equipment must be provided by the Hirer.
Should any property be damaged during the course of the game eg. broken windows in neighbouring premises or broken windscreens in the carpark the full cost of repairing such damage will be payable by the Hirer.
Spectators are welcome up to a maximum of 250 people. For the cricket matches which take place whilst the marquee is in place on the south end of the Artillery Garden, spectators are limited to 100 people.
All catering must be supplied by the HAC's in-house caterer. No other food or drink will be permitted on the grounds.
Please note that there will be no refund in the event of inclement weather. Whilst we will make all efforts to avoid cancelling or curtailing a match, the Groundsman's decision on whether the pitch is playable is final. All pre booked catering charges remain payable in full. Hirers are advised to obtain suitable wet weather insurance.
Subject to availability rooms inside Armoury House can be hired as a wet weather option for catering provision.
The Hirer will need to provide evidence of public liability cover of £5,000,000 or more.
5 sets of garden furniture are included in the hire of the grounds. Each set consists of a rectangular table, six chairs and a cream parasol. Additional sets are available for hire at £45 + VAT per set
There is no parking available on site at the HAC. There is an NCP carpark across the road at Finsbury Square.
