Fitzroy Lodge

The Lodge was founded by members of the Regiment in 1849 and has met regularly ever since.  As such it is second only to the Mess Club in age as a sub-unit.  The Secretary of the HAC at that time was William H White, who also served contemporaneously as Grand Secretary of the United Grand Lodge of England.  Now, as then, the Lodge enjoys a close relationship with Grand Lodge, and its prestige in Masonic terms is in keeping with that of the Regiment and Company.  FitzRoy is a leading lodge in the Circuit of Service Lodges.
Membership is drawn solely from the Regiment; all members must belong to the Company, and represents a similar span of ages.
